Job summary

Merrick Bank in South Jordan, Utah, is seeking a Senior Analyst, Credit Risk Oversight to bolster the bank’s second line of defense. You will conduct portfolio risk analysis, monitor credit trends, and support executive risk reporting.

You’ll coordinate quarterly Credit Oversight reporting, develop dashboards, and collaborate across first- and second-line teams to inform risk decisions and governance. Strong analytical skills and proficiency with SQL, Excel, and data visualization are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, statistics, mathematics, engineering, or a quantitative field.
• MBA or related master’s degree preferred.
• Two years of credit risk, consumer lending, or analytics experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitors consumer lending portfolio performance, credit trends, forecast outcomes, and key risk indicators.
• Coordinates the development of quarterly Credit Oversight reporting and supporting materials.
• Supports independent assessment of portfolio risk, CECL forecasts, and governance reporting.
• Develops dashboards and analytical frameworks to assess portfolio health and early warning signals.
• Performs analytical reviews of assumptions, methodologies, and performance drivers for risk forecasts.
• Collaborates across first- and second-line functions to support effective risk oversight.
