Job summary

Prosper, the first peer-to-peer lending marketplace in the United States, is seeking a Senior Credit Risk Analyst to join our Credit Risk team. You will develop strategies for credit decisions and fraud prevention, leveraging models and data to optimize risk outcomes, while collaborating with Data Science, Product and Engineering.

The role emphasizes strong analytical skills, experience in consumer lending, and the ability to communicate complex findings to Senior Management.

Qualifications

• 3+ years with a Master's or 5+ years with a Bachelor's in credit risk/fraud or data science in consumer lending.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python; DBT and Looker a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop credit and fraud strategies using data, ML models and analytics tools to optimize risk decisions.
• Propose innovative approaches and test new data and models to improve outcomes.
• Design A/B tests and evaluate risk vs customer experience trade-offs.
• Collaborate with Data Science, Product, Engineering and other teams to implement strategies.
• Perform ad-hoc risk analyses and monitor portfolio performance by segment.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to Risk Management and broader Prosper teams.
