• Ability to analyze and underwrite complex credit requests.

Responsibilities

• Interviews applicants, prospective customers and existing customers to determine credit needs and banking relationships.
• Gathers data and prepares reports for Senior/Executive Management to improve credit processes.
• Serves as subject matter expert for credit and portfolio management for the North Orange County Office.
• Executes write-ups, covenant tracking, credit tracking, approvals, renewals and related memos with accuracy and timeliness.
• Provides training and oversight for junior credit-related employees.
• Manages credit and depository relationships and assists with other assigned portfolios.
• Maintains covenant tracking reports and communicates past due or non-compliant covenants to RM.
• Ensures files are up-to-date and reports are accurate and easily understandable.
• Manages write-ups to due date and coordinates with RMs five days prior to due date.
• Develops commercial, middle-market relationships by leveraging existing connections.
• Qualifies leads, researches client checks/reports and coordinates contact with loan officers.
• Determines loan types and terms within lending limits or makes recommendations to Senior Loan Committee.
• Provides financial advice and counsel to customers and prospects.
• Supports staff development through communication and cross-training.
