Job summary

First Interstate Bank is seeking a Credit Analyst II in Billings or Bozeman. The role involves evaluating commercial credits including CRE, C&I, and municipal loans, gathering and interpreting financial statements, and supporting Relationship Managers to ensure credit quality and portfolio performance.

Responsibilities include preparing spreads, analyzing cash flows and liquidity, and producing written credit analyses while ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 4–6 years banking experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Reads and analyzes financial statements including tax returns, balance sheets, and cash flow.
• Prepares financial spreads for CRE, C&I, and other commercial borrowers.
• Evaluates credit quality and risk, reviews loan applications and loan covenants.
• Produces comprehensive credit analysis reports with supporting data and narratives.
• Supports monitoring of existing loan relationships and quarterly reviews.
