Job summary

First Interstate Bank in Montana seeks a Credit Analyst II to evaluate and underwrite commercial loans including CRE, C&I, hospitality, and municipal deals. You will gather and analyze financial statements, projections, and reports to assess creditworthiness and compliance with bank policies.

You will work with Commercial Relationship Managers to support new and existing loan relationships, maintain risk controls, and participate in quarterly monitoring and covenant testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher preferred.
• 4-6 years banking experience required.
• Commercial banking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand financial statements (tax returns, balance sheets, P&L, rent rolls, appraisals).
• Prepare financial spreads for CRE, C&I, and other commercial clients.
• Analyze credit worthiness by reviewing applications, cash flows, and ratios.
• Prepare comprehensive analysis reports combining data visuals and narrative.
• Ensure compliance with bank policies and federal regulations; support quarterly monitoring.
