Job summary

Reading Cooperative Bank seeks an experienced Senior Credit Analyst to join our Credit Team in Reading, MA. You will underwrite a diverse range of commercial lending opportunities and support independent credit analysis for CRE, C&I, and construction loans.

You will prepare clear credit presentations for loan committee reviews, analyze financial statements and market data, assess risk factors, and collaborate with lending officers to ensure sound, timely credit decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of credit analysis experience with CRE, C&I, or Construction loans.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite commercial real estate, construction, and CRE/C&I loan requests for new and existing customers.
• Prepare clear, well-supported credit presentations for approval and loan committee review.
• Analyze financial statements, tax returns, rent rolls, leases, and market data.
• Develop cash flow analyses, evaluate collateral, review appraisals, and stress-test assumptions.
• Assess quantitative and qualitative risk factors, including borrower performance and industry conditions.
• Recommend risk ratings and appropriate loan structures and covenants.
• Perform annual and interim reviews and portfolio monitoring.
