Job summary

Reading Cooperative Bank is seeking an experienced Senior Credit Analyst to join our Credit Team. Reporting to the SVP, Chief Credit Officer, this role underwrites and analyzes a diverse portfolio of commercial real estate, construction, and C&I loans.

You will prepare clear credit presentations, assess financial statements, cash flows, and collateral, and coordinate with lenders and third parties to support timely and prudent loan decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of credit analysis experience with CRE, C&I, Construction loans, exposures up to 10+ million.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Independently underwrite commercial real estate, construction, and C&I loan requests for new and existing customers.
• Prepare clear, well-supported written credit presentations for approval and loan committee review.
• Analyze financial statements, tax returns, personal financial statements, rent rolls, leases, budgets, and market data.
• Develop cash flow analyses, evaluate collateral positions, review appraisals, and stress-test financial assumptions.
• Assess borrower risk factors including management and industry conditions.
• Recommend risk ratings and appropriate loan structures, covenants, and credit enhancements.
• Perform annual and interim reviews, covenant testing, and portfolio monitoring.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors on appraisals and due diligence.

Reading Cooperative Bank is seeking an experienced Senior Credit Analyst to join our collaborative and high-performing Credit Team. Reporting directly to the SVP, Chief Credit Officer, this role is a key contributor to the Bank's commercial lending success, providing independent credit analysis and underwriting support across a diverse portfolio of commercial real estate, construction, and commercial & industrial lending relationships.

What You'll Do

As a Senior Credit Analyst, you will play a vital role in evaluating and underwriting commercial lending opportunities while helping the Bank maintain a strong and disciplined credit culture.

Key responsibilities include:

• Independently underwrite commercial real estate, construction, and commercial & industrial loan requests for both new and existing customers.
• Prepare clear, well-supported written credit presentations for approval and loan committee review.
• Analyze financial statements, tax returns, personal financial statements, rent rolls, leases, budgets, and market data.
• Develop cash flow analyses, evaluate collateral positions, review appraisals, and stress-test financial assumptions.
• Assess both quantitative and qualitative risk factors, including borrower performance, management strength, and industry conditions.
• Recommend risk ratings and identify appropriate loan structures, covenants, risk mitigants, and credit enhancements.
• Perform annual and interim reviews, modifications, covenant testing, and portfolio monitoring activities.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors on appraisals, environmental reports, inspections, and other due diligence requirements.
• Partner closely with lending officers to ensure efficient turnaround times and thoughtful credit decisions.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field and;
• Minimum 2 years of credit analysis experience working with various loan types (CRE, C&I, Construction) for relationships up to and exceeding 10+ million in exposure or,
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
