Job summary

Banc of California, Inc. in California is seeking an experienced Senior Credit Analyst to deliver financial, credit, and trend analysis for middle-market clients and prospects. You will monitor credit relationships, assess covenant compliance, and structure credit requests independently from sales teams.

You will review loan documents, provide guidance to the Credit Administration team, and participate in portfolio management to ensure risk controls and timely reporting across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 5+ years lending/portfolio experience preferred.
• Strong real estate lending knowledge; construction/bridge experience valued.
• Solid cash flow/financial analysis and loan structuring skills.
• Knowledge of bank credit policies, risk management, and portfolio oversight.
• Ability to interpret complex loan documents and collateral perfection.
• Proficient with MS Office; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary credit point of contact for borrowers and maintain ongoing relationships.
• Review and interpret loan agreements, guarantees, and other credit docs.
• Approve loan advances with Loan Servicing collaboration and report monthly statements.
• Monitor project loan performance and covenant compliance; assess risk changes.
• Prepare quarterly risk reviews and portfolio assessments.
• Provide guidance and oversight through coaching and performance feedback.
