Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or related field; education/training aligned with CRE banking
• 12–15 years of related experience, preferably all in Commercial Real Estate Banking
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills; Formal CRE credit training preferred
• Effective interpersonal communication, marketing and sales skills
• Proven negotiating ability
• Strong business acumen and strategic thinking
• Deep understanding of Real Estate development and investment
• Knowledge of accounting, financial, operational, regulatory and IT systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Competence in Real Estate Finance modeling (IPL, DCF, Argus)

Responsibilities

• Drive execution of credit facilities, capital markets transactions, and treasury management services for clients
• Lead point of contact to grow and deepen client relationships and execute profitable growth plans
• Engage with product partners across Capital Markets, Treasury, Agency, Mortgage Banking and Marketing to provide proactive solutions
• Maintain credit risk standards, risk reviews, audits and compliance results
• Prepare and deliver presentations to senior management for new credit opportunities and portfolio reviews
• Engage with CRE industry organizations and take on leadership roles where possible
• Stay informed on CRE industry developments and act as industry expert for CIG CRE and Truist
• Mentor junior teammates to promote professional growth
