Job summary

The American Medical Association seeks a Sr. CPT Regulatory & Communications Manager for its Health Solutions team in Chicago. This hybrid role requires three days in the office and leads CPT communications, regulatory affairs, and AI coding initiatives.

Responsibilities include developing proactive CPT communications, collaborating with the CPT Editorial Panel, and guiding AI coding strategy while partnering with AMA leadership and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in health-related field.
• 7+ years of experience in healthcare policy, regulatory affairs, coding, reimbursement or related fields.
• Knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding standards; CPT expertise preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute CPT proactive communications plan with collateral, publications and thought leadership.
• Manage CPT story library across AMA channels and external press, coordinating content to CPT milestones.
• Lead monitoring of LLM narratives and provide recommendations based on stakeholder feedback and media sentiment.
• Prepare executive briefings and coordinate internal/external communications groups.
• Support development and implementation of AI-related CPT code structures and taxonomy.
