Job summary

Amity Foundation seeks a Supervising Counselor to oversee the delivery of face-to-face rehabilitative programming in the Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program (ISUDTP) within an incarcerated setting.

You will supervise approximately six staff, coach and train, monitor performance, ensure AOD certification progress, and coordinate OMCP Mentors while maintaining records and collaborating with CDCR/CCHCS.

Qualifications

• Certified AOD counselor with a DHCS-approved organization.
• Two years of experience as a certified AOD counselor.
• Current AOD Certification or licensed professional as required by contract.
• Understanding of substance abuse and its behavioral, psychological, physical and social effects.
• Excellent organization, leadership and time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
• Knowledge of ISUDTP contractual requirements is essential.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise approximately six AOD Counseling/Peer Navigator staff.
• Evaluate staff performance and provide coaching and training.
• Track and monitor contractor staff performance with corrective actions as needed.
• Assess and monitor counseling staff progress toward AOD certification.
• Oversee orientation and intake processes for new participants.
• Approve and monitor relapse prevention/CBI action plan development.
• Track participants, assignments, readiness to change, progress, and program stage.
• Provide training on ARMS documentation and ensure compliance with the agreement.
• Coordinate and supervise OMCP Mentors and ensure internship hours are completed.
• Verify internship hours monthly and maintain records in ARMS.
• Collaborate with CDCR/CCHCS headquarters and local institutions.
• Other duties as assigned.
