Job summary

Old National Bank seeks an experienced Senior Counsel for Treasury Management and General Banking to provide legal and regulatory guidance to Treasury Management, Merchant Services and Financial Institutions teams, acting as a trusted partner to branches and operations.

Ideal candidates have 10–15 years in financial institution law, admission in good standing in at least one footprint state, and strong analytical and communication skills to balance legal risk with business goals.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of legal experience in a financial institution or law firm serving financial clients.
• Admitted to practice in a footprint state; in-house counsel experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to advise senior management and align legal with business goals.
• Experience with treasury management, merchant services and payments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal guidance for Treasury Management, Merchant Services and Financial Institution Group teams.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements and disclosures.
• Advise on product development initiatives and new payment technologies for regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with compliance, risk and operations to maintain policies and contract frameworks.
• Support branches and operations with timely, clear legal guidance.
