You will support Engineering, Technology, and Innovation Labs in software, AI and data privacy matters, and collaborate on partnerships, licensing, and open source usage.

The role demands a JD, bar admission in MN/TX/ON, and 4+ years advising on tech transactions and IP. Offices in Minneapolis, Dallas, or Toronto are possible.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree and active license in good standing to practice in Minnesota, Texas, or Ontario.
• 4+ years in law firms or corporate legal departments advising on technology matters.
• Familiarity with AI regulation, data privacy, cybersecurity, OSS licensing, and IP law.

Responsibilities

• Advise engineering and technology partners on legal issues across the development lifecycle.
• Identify and manage risk with practical, business‑oriented guidance.
• Advise Innovation Labs on legal implications of AI pilots and research projects.
• Develop regulatory compliance best practices in AI, data privacy, and IP law.
• Provide legal support for technology partnerships, licensing, and integrations.
