Job summary

Relativity’s Hybrid Senior Counsel, Commercial Transactions program supports a wide range of customer-facing agreements including SaaS, software licensing, and cloud services. This role leads negotiations, drafts and reviews contracts, and provides strategic legal advice to enable growth while managing risk across product and partnerships.

The ideal candidate has JD, 8+ years in tech transactions, and strong collaboration skills with Sales, Security, and Finance.

Qualifications

• JD degree from an accredited law school and license to practice in the United States.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in technology transactions, in-house or firm.
• Experience negotiating SaaS, software, cloud services, professional services, data processing, and partnerships.
• Knowledge of data privacy, cloud services, IP, and regulatory considerations, including AI-enabled products.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to research and analyze legal issues.
• Proficiency with AI tools, legal tech, MS Office; familiarity with Salesforce, Ironclad, Asana.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer, procurement, and strategic commercial negotiations for software, SaaS, hybrid cloud, AI offerings, and partnerships; coordinate with Sales, Finance, Security, IT, and Compliance.
• Provide strategic legal advice and business counsel on commercial issues; manage high-volume contracts with varying complexity.
• Engage with customers to ensure they feel listened to and deliver value.
• Suggest and implement process improvements like standard forms to improve efficiency.
• Demonstrate agility with AI legal technology tools; identify tools best suited for tasks.
• Lead and support strategic pricing initiatives and governance projects with Finance and stakeholders.
• Participate in internal approval workflows; prioritize contracts and respond to questions.
• Utilize AI tools, Microsoft 365, Salesforce, and Ironclad effectively and responsibly.
