Job summary

Relativity is seeking a Senior Counsel, Commercial Transactions to support the company’s contracting function, focusing on SaaS, software licensing, and strategic partnerships. You will draft, review, negotiate, and advise on a broad range of commercial agreements while collaborating with Sales, Product, Security, Finance, and other teams.

The successful candidate will bring eight or more years of experience in technology transactions, strong negotiation skills, and a JD with a U.S. license.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of relevant experience in-house and/or at a law firm.
• Experience negotiating SaaS, software, cloud services, data processing, and enterprise agreements.
• Strong understanding of technology, licensing, IT security, privacy, IP and regulatory concerns.
• Experience supporting AI-enabled products and emerging technology issues.
• JD degree and license to practice in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer, procurement, and strategic commercial negotiations for software, SaaS and hybrid cloud services and partnerships.
• Provide creative, strategic legal advice and business counsel on contracts and risk.
• Engage with customers to ensure they feel heard and receive value.
• Suggest and implement process improvements, including standard forms.
• Leverage AI legal tools and MS Office, Salesforce, and other tech in workflows.
