Ameriprise Financial is seeking a licensed attorney to join the GCO Advice and Wealth Management Practice Group, supporting Retail Advisory, including managed accounts and financial planning. The role provides practical, risk-based legal counsel to enable growth, innovation, and regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate with Compliance and Risk, conduct legal research, and assist with regulatory examinations and interactions with regulators and outside counsel.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• 5+ years of experience as a practicing attorney in retail advisory or financial services.
• Admitted to practice in Minnesota, North Carolina, or eligible for in-house counsel.
• Strong ability to influence and build relationships with business partners.

Responsabilités

• Serve as trusted legal partner supporting managed accounts, financial planning, investment research, and portfolio management.
• Advise on regulatory, legal, and strategic matters affecting advisory products, services, platforms, and client offerings.
• Develop, enhance, and govern advisory programs, disclosures, agreements, and client-facing materials; mitigate risks.
