Job summary

Pilot Company is seeking a Sr Counsel, Privacy and Technology to advise on privacy, data protection, cybersecurity, and technology initiatives across the business. You will draft and negotiate complex agreements, collaborate with IT, product, HR, and legal teams, and lead governance programs to ensure regulatory compliance.

The role requires deep knowledge of U.S. privacy laws, incident response, and emerging technologies, with experience advising on AI and digital platforms in a regulated

Qualifications

• J.D. required and active license to practice law in TN or eligible to register with TN Board of Law Examiners.
• Minimum 8+ years of legal experience with emphasis on privacy, data protection, cybersecurity and tech contracts.
• In-house or regulated industry experience preferred.
• Ability to advise on AI, digital initiatives, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide counsel on privacy, data protection, cybersecurity, AI, and tech matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate technology, software licensing, cloud, and data-sharing agreements.
• Partner with stakeholders to assess privacy risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Support incident response, breach notification, and regulatory reporting.
• Develop privacy policies, standards, and governance programs.
