Job summary

Meta seeks a driven commercial transactions lawyer to support the network infrastructure team in the U.S. You will structure, draft and negotiate a broad range of agreements—fiber, dark fiber, IRU, colocation and cloud networking—while addressing applicable state and federal rules.

Collaborate with finance, tax and compliance, use AI tools to enhance productivity, and provide practical business and legal advice.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of legal experience in telecommunications, network infrastructure, or technology transactions.
• Active membership in good standing with at least one state bar association.
• A law degree and a practicing certificate (or equivalent) in a common law jurisdiction.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize workflows and drive measurable impact.
• Strong research, analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills, along with excellent business judgment and strategic thinking.
• Diligent, well-organized and able to prioritize competing projects based on impact, deadlines, and stakeholder needs.

Responsibilities

• Structure, draft and negotiate a broad range of agreements in support of Meta's network infrastructure expansion (fiber, dark fiber leases, IRUs, colocation, cloud networking).
• Research and analyze state and federal rules and regulations impacting infrastructure projects.
• Use AI tools to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Collaborate with Finance, Tax, Compliance and external counsel to meet cross-functional requirements and business timing.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with key clients and cross-functional partners.
• Provide well-calibrated, practical business and legal advice.
