Centuri Group, Inc. in the United States is seeking an experienced in-house Counsel to support the Office of the General Counsel across multiple business units. You will draft, redline and negotiate complex contracts, including EPC and supply agreements, while aligning with risk management and compliance.

The role demands 6+ years of practice, a JD, and active bar admission. You will mentor non-legal stakeholders, contribute to due diligence, and help shape contracting policies in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active license and good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 6+ years of practice in a law firm or in-house legal department.
• Complex contract review, analysis, drafting, and negotiation experience; or litigation experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to manage many matters independently.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft, redline, and negotiate contracts of varying complexity; EPC, MSAs, subcontracts, NDAs, and more.
• Analyze risk provisions including indemnity, liability limits, and dispute resolution.
• Review prime terms and flow-down obligations to subcontractors.
• Collaborate with Risk Management and HSE on insurance and indemnity provisions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws in contracting.
• Maintain and expand internal contract templates and playbooks.
• Provide practical legal guidance to business stakeholders on risk and compliance.
• Train non-legal personnel to identify contractual risk before signature.
• Support due diligence on acquisitions and new business opportunities.
• Conduct legal research across jurisdictions where the company operates.
• Work cross-functionally to improve contracting policies and workflows.
• Stay current on laws and industry developments affecting operations.
