Job summary

Jereh North America Group in Houston is seeking a Corporate Counsel – Commercial Contracts to draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements and manage the contract lifecycle.

The role requires partnering with sales, procurement, operations, and finance to balance legal protections with business objectives, including cross-border matters with U.S.–China engagements, in a hands-on in-house environment.

Qualifications

• Active Texas Bar license and in good standing.
• 5+ years of substantial experience in commercial contracts and business transactions.
• J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
• Proven ability to independently draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements.
• Strong hands-on contract negotiation experience with customers, suppliers or counterparties.
• Ability to manage routine contract matters independently and assess risks.
• Strong legal drafting, analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a broad range of commercial agreements, including sales, procurement, vendor, service, NDA, EPC, and other contracts.
• Lead and participate in contract negotiations with customers, suppliers, vendors, business partners, and their counsel.
• Identify and assess key legal, compliance, and commercial risks and provide practical recommendations.
• Collaborate with sales, procurement, operations, engineering, finance and other teams to provide practical legal support.
• Manage contracts through the full lifecycle, maintain records, and help develop templates, procedures and processes.
