Job summary

Hanwha Qcells USA Corp (Qcells USA) seeks a Managing Counsel to oversee the EPC contract cycle for turnkey solar and storage projects. You will review, draft, and negotiate EPC and related service agreements, supporting project finance, development, and operations teams.

The role requires 6+ years in contracts within the energy/renewables sector, strong bar credentials, and hybrid work from Houston, TX, with up to 25% travel. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• 6+ years relevant experience in corporate or EPC contracts.
• Strong background in commercial contracts.
• EPC experience required.
• Experience in the energy industry required.
• Active Membership in at least one state bar.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a legal expert and primary counsel for issues arising during construction of turnkey solar and storage projects.
• Structure, draft, review and negotiate EPC Agreements with developers/owners and subcontractors, and related contracts.
• Provide general legal support to finance, development, construction and operations teams.
• Advise business teams on issues during construction, including change orders and notices under agreements.
• Manage external counsel and coordinate with internal legal team to deliver services; lead drafting and maintenance of contract templates.
