Job summary

AbbVie in the United States is seeking a Senior Counsel, Transactions to identify and resolve highly complex legal issues and draft and negotiate sophisticated corporate transactions across pharmaceutical licensing and collaborations.

You will regularly engage in due diligence, advise management, and guide outside counsel while ensuring compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements affecting AbbVie\'s businesses globally.

Qualifications

• J.D. required from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in job location (US).
• Minimum of 4 years of legal experience; in-house or healthcare compliance preferred.
• Experience with complex corporate transactions, including pharma licensing and collaboration/joint ventures.

Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve highly complex legal issues and draft/negotiate sophisticated corporate transactions.
• Lead due diligence and interpret complex agreements; advise on strategic transactions.
• Direct outside counsel and manage project objectives and timelines.
• Ensure compliance with applicable corporate policies and procedures.
