AbbVie seeks an Associate General Counsel, Transactions, to join its Business Development and Acquisitions team. The role involves handling highly complex corporate transactions, including M&A and pharmaceutical licensing, with independent negotiation and due diligence.

The successful candidate will guide senior management, manage outside counsel, and ensure compliance with corporate policies while supporting AbbVie's strategic collaborations across jurisdictions.

Formación

• Must possess a J.D. degree.
• Extensive experience with managing complex M&A and pharmaceutical licensing transactions.
• Strong ability to negotiate independently with third parties on strategic matters.
• Experience advising on antitrust/competition and IP issues in pharma contexts.
• Ability to supervise outside counsel and manage project directions.

Responsabilidades

• Identify and resolve highly complex legal issues in corporate transactions.
• Draft and negotiate sophisticated agreements and licenses.
• Lead due diligence and interpret nuanced contract terms for AbbVie.
• Advise on antitrust risks across multiple jurisdictions.
• Provide clear guidance to management to maximize pipeline value.
• Supervise paralegals and junior staff in legal matters.
