Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Senior Counsel: Operations and Pharmacy Legal to provide strategic legal guidance on regulatory and commercial matters in the pharmaceutical environment. You will partner with cross-functional teams and advise on pharmacy-related regulatory issues to support business objectives.

Responsibilities include reviewing and negotiating contracts, advising on DEA and state Board of Pharmacy regulations, and supporting licensure and compliance initiatives across jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school with active license to practice in job location.
• 5+ years of relevant in-house or life sciences/healthcare regulatory experience.
• Experience advising on pharmacy-related legal matters.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive legal counsel on commercial, regulatory, and operational issues.
• Review, negotiate, and manage a wide range of contracts to ensure legal compliance.
• Advise on DEA and state Board of Pharmacy regulations governing controlled substances.
