Qualifications

• US-licensed attorney with 7+ years in law firm or in-house roles specializing in commercial, construction, and energy contracts.
• Experience with renewable energy, energy storage projects preferred.
• Strong drafting, negotiating, and contract management abilities.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external counsel.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, construction agreements, procurement agreements, vendor agreements, and other legal documents related to construction and energy projects.
• Advise internal stakeholders on legal risks, contract interpretation, ongoing relationship and contracts management, and dispute resolution strategies.
• Collaborate with Project Development teams to structure contracts and incentives for new offerings and revenue strategies.
• Align contractual terms with business objectives, risk management and operational needs with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, including environmental and labor regulations.
• Develop and implement policies to streamline contract management processes.
• Manage relationships with external counsel as needed for specialized matters.
• Stay updated on industry trends impacting the renewable energy sector.
• Support litigation matters related to contracts and energy projects.
