Job summary

Kleinfelder seeks an Assistant General Counsel to serve as the lead attorney for claims, litigation, and dispute resolution. Reporting to the General Counsel, you will manage outside counsel, develop strategies, and provide legal support for commercial contracting activities, including review and negotiation of client and subconsultant agreements.

You will work with executive leadership, operations, and risk management to minimize exposure and align legal risk with business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution.
• Coordinate with Finance and Operations on reserves and risk.
• Prepare periodic claims and litigation reports for leadership.
• Oversee outside counsel and litigation budgets.
• Review and negotiate commercial agreements and contracts.
• Collaborate with risk management and HR on related matters.
