Job summary

Kleinfelder is seeking an Assistant General Counsel (Claims & Litigation) to lead the management of all claims, litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution activities. You will work with executive leadership, operations, insurance, and outside counsel to minimize risk and protect company interests.

You will develop strategies, supervise outside counsel, and provide legal support for commercial contracting, including client and subconsultant agreements, teaming agreements, and vendor

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from ABA-accredited law school and active state bar.
• Minimum 15 years of construction law or related litigation management experience.
• Experience managing outside counsel and significant litigation budgets.
• Industry experience in engineering, architecture, environmental consulting, or construction is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead management of all claims, litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution.
• Oversee outside counsel and develop litigation management strategies.
• Provide legal support for commercial contracting, including drafting and negotiating client and subconsultant agreements.
• Collaborate with risk management, HR, IT, safety, finance, and project teams on risk and compliance matters.
