Job summary

Relativity is seeking a Senior Counsel, AI & Legal Technology to act as a senior legal adviser on AI, product development, and legal technology. You will partner with engineering and business teams, interpret AI regulatory developments, and draft policies and terms to enable rapid, compliant growth.

Ideal candidate has extensive in-house or law-firm experience with technology transactions, privacy, and IP, and holds a JD with active US bar admission.

Qualifications

• Six (6) or more years of relevant experience in-house and/or at a law firm supporting technology initiatives.
• Experience with software development, open source licensing issues, including OSI-approved license compliance, OEM licensing; familiarity with API terms, SaaS agreements, and platform policies.
• JD degree from an accredited law school and license to practice in the United States.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; articulate communicator able to explain complex legal concepts to non-lawyers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead legal representative for enterprise AI, product development, marketing and legal technology.
• Provide creative, strategic legal advice and business counsel on commercial, operational and strategic legal issues.
• Engage with customers and internal stakeholders to deliver timely and accurate responses and solutions.
• Work with Product, Marketing, Customer Success, Partner, and Strategy teams to align legal risk with business needs.
