Job summary

Relativity is seeking a Senior Counsel for AI & Legal Technology to serve as a senior legal advisor on AI, product development, and legal tech. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to steer policy, risk, and compliance.

The role requires a JD with active US bar status and extensive experience in technology and AI regulatory landscapes. Expect a competitive salary and a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Six (6) or more years of experience in-house and/or at a law firm supporting technology initiatives including AI, data, and regulatory issues.
• Experience with software development, open source licensing, OSI licenses, OEM licensing, API terms, SaaS agreements and platform policies.
• Background in marketing law with FTC and state laws knowledge.
• Strong understanding of technology including AI legal tech, cloud services, licensing models, open source, security, privacy, IP, and regulatory considerations.
• Experience supporting AI-enabled products and emerging technology issues.
• JD degree from a law school and US bar admission.

Responsibilities

• Serve as lead legal advisor for enterprise AI, product development, marketing and legal tech.
• Provide creative, strategic legal advice on commercial, operational and strategic issues.
• Advise on regulatory developments in AI law and communicate implications to the business.
• Draft and negotiate contracts and maintain compliant product documentation.
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Customer Success, Partner, Strategy teams.
