Job summary

Cisco Systems seeks a seasoned counsel to join our Legal team, guiding AI/tech transactions and complex procurement across the organization. You will draft, negotiate, and close high-impact AI, SaaS, and data license agreements while leveraging AI tools for efficiency and risk management.

You will partner with leaders to translate regulatory risk into practical terms, drive governance, and shape internal playbooks for an AI-enabled future.

Qualifications

• JD or equivalent law degree from an accredited school.
• Admission to at least one U.S. state bar.
• Minimum five years of relevant tech transactions, software/SaaS, or AI/data matters.
• Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and communication skills; strong analytical and business judgment.

Responsibilities

• Manage a rapid pipeline of AI procurement, SaaS, and data licensing deals.
• Draft and negotiate complex agreements and advise leaders.
• Lead negotiation process and governance using AI tools.
• Translate regulatory risks into practical guidance for internal clients.
• Drive cross-functional initiatives related to contracts, data and AI strategy.
• Provide strategic guidance on terms and mitigations.
