Job summary

Raytheon, a leading aerospace and defense company, is seeking a Proposal Analyst to support the Naval Power estimating team in proposal efforts and cost modeling. The role develops Basis of Estimates, conducts complex cost analyses, and ensures FAR compliance across proposals.

The position offers on-site/hybrid work options, with collaboration across organizational lines and potential involvement in government audits and negotiations.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor's and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with 3+ years.
• Experience with proposal development, cost models, price buildup, and estimating processes.
• Knowledge of FAR/DFAR and related government contracting concepts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and analyze varying proposal types and manage complex, high-value bids.
• Lead pricing strategies and evaluate labor, materials and other direct costs.
• Prepare Basis of Estimates and gate materials for leadership reviews.
• Ensure FAR compliance across proposals and support government audits.
• Train peers on cost modeling, tools, and proposal processes.
