Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Staff Proposal Analyst to lead cost analysis across major pursuits in the Air Dominance Division. You will influence methodologies, mentor analysts, and partner with capture, program management, and finance leadership to shape credible cost positions.

100% onsite in Palmdale, San Diego, or El Segundo, CA. The role requires a Secret clearance, strong Excel modeling, and expertise in FAR/DFARS to support long‑cycle aerospace programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 12 years of experience in pricing, estimating, finance or analytics.
• Master’s degree with 10 years of experience in pricing, estimating, finance or analytics.
• Active US Government Secret clearance or higher.
• Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance with SAP as required.
• U.S. citizenship.
• Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS.
• Strong analytical fluency and Excel modeling.

Responsibilities

• Shape the analytical approach to the unit’s significant pursuits from pre‑RFP positioning through final recommendations.
• Set methodology and standards across cost modeling, sensitivity analysis, risk‑adjusted positioning, and benchmarking.
• Lead executive‑level reviews of analytical work and be the senior Pricing and Estimating voice in leadership meetings.
• Present analyses at division and corporate reviews; brief senior executives on cost positions.
• Partner with the negotiation team to clarify how numbers were built for customer discussions.
• Drive analytical tooling and methodology improvements that outlive a single pursuit.
• Serve as a mentor to junior analysts and help them grow into senior roles.
