Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Houston seeks an experienced Senior Cost Manager and/or Quantity Surveyor to act as the key client interface, delivering value-added cost management throughout the construction lifecycle.

You will lead cost modeling and planning, coordinate with design teams and contractors, and mentor junior staff while upholding our standards and governance. This role requires strong communication, client-facing skills, and a collaborative approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field.
• Experience in cost management and quantity surveying.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Estimating and negotiating change orders throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Provide estimate and cost planning, including final cost plan.
• Review and participate with design teams and GC in cost estimates.
• Reconcile changes and ensure contractor data accuracy.
• Meet with GC and project manager to prepare cost estimates updates.
• Prepare comments to contractor submissions, including executive summaries.
• Coordinate sources of cost information for discussions with subs and AEs.
• Develop cost plans through design phases and milestones.
