Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Houston seeks an experienced Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to lead cost control across diverse construction projects. You will act as the primary client interface, develop robust cost plans, and drive value through pre- and post-contract cost management.

The role requires strong communication, leadership, and the ability to work independently within a team, with travel across Texas as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or field related to construction.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience in cost management within construction.
• RICS accreditation preferred or working towards it.
• Experience leading cost management on medium to large projects of medium to high complexity.
• Construction consultancy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Estimating and negotiating change orders throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Prepare cost estimates and final cost plans; review with design services and GC teams.
• Reconcile changes and ensure accurate data for cost updates.
• Prepare funding data presentations and coordinate VE sessions with stakeholders.
• Develop cost plans through design phases and support value engineering.
