Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor to join our San Francisco team. You will support cost management across diverse construction projects, collaborating with clients, project teams, and vendors to control budgets and risks throughout the lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of cost management experience in construction, strong communication skills, and a background in procurement and value engineering. On-site presence may vary with client needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field.
• 5–7 years in cost management in construction.
• RICS accreditation preferred.
• Strong client-facing communication.
• Experience with procurement and value engineering.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on procurement strategies and manage vendor processes.
• Develop and review cost estimates; present to clients and conduct VE analyses.
• Establish cost reporting schedules and manage budgets and forecasts.
• Oversee cost control, evaluate change orders, and resolve cost/contract issues.
• Monitor invoicing and conduct final account negotiations and closeout.
