Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to join our Bay Area team. You will support cost consultancy, project management, and program management across large-scale construction and real estate projects, working with clients, consultants, and contractors to drive commercial success and value.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in a cost management role, a bachelor's degree in a related field, and preferably RICS accreditation, with on-site presence required at times in the

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Cost Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant cost management experience in construction.
• RICS accreditation is preferred or currently pursued.
• Experience supporting cost management on medium or large-scale construction/capital improvement projects.
• Experience supporting commercial real estate, corporate workplaces, life sciences, advanced technology, infrastructure, or other complex construction projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advise client on strategies, prequalify vendors, assess proposals and bids, and manage the appointment process.
• Develop and review project estimates covering construction, fees, direct costs and other expenses; present estimates and value engineering recommendations to the client.
• Establish cost reporting schedules and manage forecasts, budgets and cost risk registers; lead meetings with project teams and vendors.
• Review payment applications, advise on contractor entitlements, and manage change orders and related disputes.
• Oversee invoicing processes and benchmark performance across projects.
