Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to support complex Life Sciences construction projects. You will lead cost management, interface with clients, and guide multidisciplinary teams to deliver value throughout manufacturing, laboratory, and R&D facilities.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in cost management, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a client-facing setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or related field.
• 5–7 years of cost management experience in the construction industry.
• RICS accreditation or working towards it preferred.
• Experience leading cost management on medium to large, high‑complexity projects.
• Construction consultancy experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of procurement routes, value management, and value engineering.

Responsibilities

• Estimate and negotiate change orders across the construction lifecycle.
• Produce and present final cost plans.
• Review cost estimates with design teams and general contractors.
• Reconcile changes and assist the general contractor to ensure data accuracy.
• Maintain cost checks and valuations through project lifecycle.
• Coordinate cost information and lead VE sessions with stakeholders.
