Job summary

Turner & Townsend are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to act as the primary client interface, delivering value-added cost management services for a large life sciences manufacturing campus.

This role involves supporting multi-phase projects, providing cost estimates, cost planning, and oversight of cost controls. Collaboration with project stakeholders is essential to meet client objectives and maintain project value on-site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a field related to construction.
• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in cost management in construction.
• RICS accredited or working towards it preferred.
• Experience leading cost management on medium to large construction projects with high complexity.

Responsibilities

• Estimating and negotiating change orders throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Provide estimates and cost planning including final cost plan.
• Review with design services team and GC in development of cost estimates.
• Coordinate cost information from various sources for discussions.
• Prepare cost reports and executive summaries for client presentations.
• Lead negotiations on pricing to drive fair contract prices.
• Manage cost checks, valuations, and post-contract cost variances.
• Develop cost plans through the design phase and update at milestones.
• Provide commercial input to value engineering and optioneering.
