Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager and/or Quantity Surveyor to lead client-facing cost management on major projects. You will drive cost planning, value engineering, and commercial governance across the design and construction phases.

The role requires strong leadership, exceptional communication, and the ability to work independently or in a team, delivering accurate cost data and strategic guidance to clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in cost management within the construction industry.
• RICS accreditation or working towards it is preferred.
• Experience leading cost management on medium to large construction projects of medium to high complexity.
• Construction consultancy experience is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of procurement routes, value management, and value engineering.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Estimating and negotiating change orders throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Provide estimate and cost planning to include producing and presenting the final cost plan.
• Review and participate with design services team and general contractor in development of cost estimates.
• Reconcile changes and assist the general contractor to ensure data accuracy.
• Coordinate cost information sources for cost discussions and supplier data.
