Cumming Group is seeking a Cost Manager in Aliso Viejo, CA to oversee cost management across a diverse project portfolio including education, commercial interiors, and semiconductors. You will develop budgets, review scopes, and manage change orders while building strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• BS in construction, cost & commercial management or related field is required.
• 3+ years’ experience post undergraduate degree in cost management or related field preferred.
• Working toward MRICS or other professional certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop budget estimates by performing quantity take-offs from plans/specs or conceptual info.
• Review and define scope of work described in project documents.
• Build up unit costs based on labor/material rate structures.
• Develop and nurture subcontractor/vendor and client relationships.
• Prepare and deliver summary analysis for assigned scope of work.
• Evaluate change orders; peer review of estimates; assist with cost management process.
• Lead development of estimates for projects under supervision of manager.
