Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager and/or Quantity Surveyor to join our U.S. team supporting a large-scale data center construction program.

You will be the key day-to-day interface with the client, delivering value-added cost management across the project lifecycle and promoting our purpose, values, and vision. The role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently or in a team, and leadership to guide cost management efforts on complex

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in cost management within the construction industry.
• RICS accreditation is preferred or candidate working toward it.
• Experience leading cost management on medium to large, complex construction projects.
• Experience supporting data center, mission-critical, advanced tech, or other highly technical projects is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Estimate and negotiate change orders throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Provide estimate and cost planning, including final cost plan.
• Review with design services and general contractor to develop cost estimates.
• Reconcile changes and assist GC to ensure data accuracy.
• Prepare cost update communications with owner and project manager.
• Coordinate cost information sources for discussions with suppliers, subs, and A/Es.
• Inform and drive engineering priorities based on cost impact.
• Manage cost checks and valuations on large projects.
• Support post-contract variances and change control processes.
• Produce monthly cost reports for client presentations.
