Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Reno, NV seeks a Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to lead cost control on a large-scale hyperscale data center project. You will be the primary client interface, driving cost planning, change management and value engineering to deliver robust commercial outcomes.

The ideal candidate has 5–7+ years in construction cost management, with strong communication skills and a proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders in complex environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, quantity surveying, engineering, or related field.
• 5–7+ years of experience in construction cost management.
• Experience on medium to large-scale projects (data centers preferred).
• RICS accreditation preferred.
• Strong understanding of procurement strategies, value management, and cost control practices.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and project workstreams.

Responsibilities

• Estimate and negotiate change orders throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Produce cost plans and final cost estimates.
• Collaborate with design teams and contractors on cost estimates.
• Prepare monthly cost reports for client presentations.
• Lead cost checks, valuations and change control processes.
• Support value engineering sessions with stakeholders.
