Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager and/or Quantity Surveyor to act as the day-to-day client interface on a major hyperscale data center project, ensuring objectives are met through value-added cost management.

The role requires strong communication, self-motivation, and ability to work independently; a hybrid schedule with on-site presence about 3 days per week; the project site is approximately 25 miles south of Naperville in Grundy County.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, or related field.
• RICS accreditation or progress towards it is advantageous.
• 5–7 years of relevant cost management experience in construction.

Responsibilities

• Estimate and negotiate change orders throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Develop and present final cost plans and cost estimates.
• Review design and GC inputs to align cost estimates.
• Lead cost management on medium to large projects.
• Prepare monthly cost reports for client presentation.
• Monitor cost checks, valuations, and post-contract variances.
