Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor for a major data center project near Naperville, IL. The role combines client-facing leadership with rigorous cost management across the project lifecycle.

You will drive cost plans, provide negotiation support, and coordinate with design teams and contractors to ensure value and accuracy. Hybrid onsite schedule expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or related field.
• RICS accredited or working towards it is advantageous.
• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant cost management experience in construction.
• Construction consultancy experience is strongly desirable.
• Experience supporting data center/mission-critical or large-scale infrastructure projects is preferred.
• Experience leading cost management on medium to large projects.
• Strong knowledge of procurement routes, value management and value engineering.

Responsibilities

• Estimate and negotiate change orders throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Produce and present final cost plan and cost estimates.
• Review design services and GC cost estimates for accuracy.
• Prepare cost estimate updates and executive summaries.
• Coordinate cost information from NPA, subs, and designers.
