Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Cost Estimator to join our team across the US, including Oregon. You will lead cost estimates for complex water, municipal, industrial, and other projects, supervise estimation teams, and collaborate with design and construction groups to drive value and accuracy.

Responsibilities include developing detailed cost plans, validating third-party estimates, and maintaining estimation databases while contributing to master schedules and risk analysis.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years in cost estimating, construction management, or related fields.
• Experience developing cost estimates and schedules per design stages.
• Proficiency with AACEI guidelines and value management.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost estimates for major capital and construction projects.
• Analyze costs, materials, labor and bid documentation.
• Design and maintain cost estimating databases.
• Collaborate with teams to review drawings for cost control.
• Evaluate third-party estimates and track market conditions.
• Estimate quantities for large structures and support scheduling.
• Draft Basis of Estimate and Basis of Schedule reports.
• Participate in client estimate reviews and provide guidance.
• Develop regional staffing and knowledge transfer for US resources.
