Job summary

HNTB seeks a senior estimator to lead cost estimating on large-scale infrastructure projects. You will oversee independent estimates, develop complex cost models, and provide pricing insight for change orders and VE studies.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in engineering/architecture/construction management and extensive experience with estimating software, cost control, and client-facing presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related degree; 9 years relevant experience, or 13 years alternative.
• Experience developing cost estimates for complex infrastructure projects.
• Experience in cost controls and data analysis to support project decisions.

Responsibilities

• Oversees independent cost estimates for submitted change orders.
• Provides cost support during Value Engineering studies and design charettes.
• Develops complex cost models for estimating elements.
• Prepares cost reports and presents findings to design and client teams.
• Mentors and may supervise junior estimators.
• Leads price negotiations and procurement support.
