Job summary

HNTB Corporation seeks an experienced estimator to prepare all aspects of detailed cost estimates for large, complex projects with supervision. You will develop labor, material, and equipment costs, support procurement, and collaborate with scheduling and project teams in Manhattan, NY.

The role requires a relevant degree or equivalent experience, CEP/CPE certifications, and proficiency with estimating software. Office-based role with potential field collaboration and client presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or a related field with 6 years of cost estimating experience, or 10 years without a degree.
• AACE CEP or ASPE CPE certification or equivalent.
• Experience preparing cost estimates for general contractors using estimating software.
• Experience as client PM/CM agent or design-build contractor experience.
• Willingness to report to the Project Office and Job Site in Manhattan.

Responsibilities

• Performs detailed cost estimates using the Cost Breakdown Structure and summarizes totals.
• Prepares detailed breakdowns of components and elements of estimates.
• Performs conceptual estimating prior to development of graphical facility representations.
• Collaborates with scheduling to align estimates with construction schedules.
• Gathers cost information for materials and services and supports procurement documents.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related degree
