Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator in the Greater Seattle Area to develop, defend, and manage cost estimates for aerospace programs across commercial and government customers. You will write BOEs, build models, and collaborate with engineering, program management, supply chain, and finance to craft competitive, compliant proposals.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance and ability to work on classified programs.
• 10+ years of cost estimating or proposal pricing experience in aerospace/defense.
• Knowledge of FAR/DFARS/NFS/CAS/TINA and compliant cost/price volumes.
• Experience writing BOEs and developing bottoms-up/parametric/analogous estimates.
• Ability to interpret RFPs/SOWs and translate into estimating plans.
• Strong communication skills to defend estimates to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver cost estimates and price volumes compliant with policies and procedures.
• Write clear Basis of Estimate narratives documenting assumptions and rationale.
• Develop estimates for IR&D efforts.
• Manage multiple estimating efforts across scope and value levels.
• Support proposal lifecycle from RFP release to negotiation and award.
• Interpret RFPs/SOWs and translate into estimating plans and data requests.
• Contribute to pricing strategy, should-cost analysis, and risk assessments.
• Build estimating tools, data templates, models, and historical databases.
