Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a senior cost estimator to support proposal pricing activities and cost volume development for a range of spaceflight systems. You will lead cost estimation efforts, read and interpret RFPs and SOWs, and collaborate with a team of cost professionals to deliver high-quality estimates.

The role emphasizes knowledge of aerospace programs, pricing strategies, and compliance with US government regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 8+ years of experience in cost estimating.
• Advanced understanding of FAR, DFARS, NFS, and compliance requirements.
• Ability to read RFP/SOW and cost-related documents.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and present cost estimates in compliance with requirements.
• Support proposal activities for government and commercial customers.
• Develop cost estimates for Internal Research & Development efforts.
• Prepare cost estimates across Blue Origin product lines (propulsion, launch, in-space).
• Write Basis of Estimate (BOE) narratives to document approaches.
• Collaborate with cost professionals to improve estimating practices.
