Job summary

Employbridge seeks a Senior Cost Engineer to evaluate manufacturing opportunities and develop accurate, competitive cost estimates. You’ll work with Engineering, Operations, Sales, and Supply Chain to craft pricing strategies that meet customer needs and profitability.

The role leads RFQ estimating and quoting for complex opportunities, reviews blueprints and CAD models, and builds detailed cost models for labor, materials, tooling, and overhead to support informed pricing decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in estimating, quoting, costing, or manufacturing engineering.
• Strong understanding of machining and manufacturing processes.
• Experience managing complex RFQs.
• Strong blueprint reading and CAD knowledge.
• Experience with cost modeling, pricing, and margin analysis.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimating and quoting for complex RFQs and new opportunities.
• Review blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and CAD models.
• Develop detailed cost models for labor, materials, tooling, and overhead.
• Evaluate machining processes, routings, and manufacturing requirements.
• Analyze the cost impact of design and engineering changes.
• Partner with Engineering and Operations to validate manufacturing assumptions.
• Support pricing, margin analysis, and post-award cost reviews.
• Collaborate across Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain.
• Identify opportunities to improve estimating accuracy and efficiency.
